Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is a life- threatening disorder most often caused by neuroleptic or antipsychotic drugs.

Mnemonic for NMS: FALTER

F – Fever
A – Autonomic instability (Vitals)
L – Leukocytosis
T – Tremor
E – Elevated enzymes (elevated CPK)
R – Rigidity of muscles
